I am currently serving with the team at Ransom, my role includes being a pillar head of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and Community Upliftment (CU) for the past 2 years. My passions and responsibilities are:
• Working and helping children especially those that are in orphanages, in underprivileged ECD centres and where I can at safe homes for children.
• Distributing food to the needy and the child headed homes
• working and starting projects that will create job opportunities for self sustainability to individuals and communities
• working alongside communities to assist one another with needs within their surroundings.

Sandy Botha
Early Childhood Development Coordinator

I am an industrious and enthusiastic individual who likes to keep busy.
My passion lies in actively participating in the education of young children,
and get immense satisfaction in supporting teachers to attain their
objectives.
My creativity is a driving force, and I thoroughly enjoy
channeling it into designing and crafting educational resources.
I am self-motivated and consistently strive to deliver my best in all my
endeavors.

Brenda van Deventer
Skills Development Coordinator

After working for 33 years and raising 3 boys I found myself retired! Having realised the lack of domestic skills like sewing, knitting, crochet and other crafts while working, I was thrilled to hear that Ransom Foundation wanted to start a skills group.

I, along with a passionate team of volunteers find it very rewarding to spearhead economic development for zero and low-income groups. Our projects have grown from strength to strength and we are excited to realise our vision to motivate and enable the most vulnerable of families in our community to generate an income from venturing out into making and selling their handiwork.
