We restore the dignity of woman victimised by poverty, one woman at a time!

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

With the skills development project, we empower women and families to escape poverty through community-based, self-help created businesses.

The projects’ main aim is to bring about sustainability whilst getting the beneficiaries to have buy-in and take ownership for their work.

We are currently operational with weekly sessions at the  Willows Training Hub, Pretoria East and take great pleasure to announce the opening of our skills centre in Mamelodi, Lusaka in April 2020.

Our efforts have grown from strength to strength!

We endeavour to raise funds to encourage people in needy communities. Interested to support, pledge your skills, learn a skill, buy or sell?

MICROBUSINESS

We provide skills training, marketing intelligence, mentorship that imparts entrepreneurship and innovation to kick start microbusiness. We love seeing communities victimized by poverty mobilised into action.

Here’s a real life story from Phomolong – Pretoria East informal settlement. Our female entrepreneur got a kick start for her microbusiness selling peanuts. We incubated her initiative by providing all of the above business support elements. She can now feed and look after her family as she is the sole provider.

SANITARY PADS

Ransom Foundation takes pleasure to join forces with Palesa Pads. We restore the dignity of young girls by distribution of sanitary towels in informal settlements. Please join hands with us.

Many girls in Africa miss 3-5 days of school each month because they cannot afford sanitary pads. Most girls eventually end up dropping out of school altogether.

Palesa Reusable Pads can be used for up to 5 years, for less than 20% of the cost of disposable pads. For many families, basic survival is a priority and there simply isn’t enough money in the budget to buy pads every month.

Palesa Reusable Sanitary Pads provide a sustainable solution for up to 5 years which is a girl’s high school career.

Palesa Pads can, of course, be worn by women as well. The tremendous savings on sanitary products contribute to the financial well-being of their families.

Palesa Pads are also better for the environment in that they do not contribute to landfill as is the case with disposable pads. The pads are simply washed and reused each month. https://www.palesapads.com/
